Reveal Hidden Passwords in all Major Browsers

[amwmedia.com] Often when using a password tool like the built-in version in Firefox, it can be hard to remember all those saved passwords. Andrew Worcester has created a nifty bookmark that will automatically reveal any password typed on a website in the browser (potentially, you would use this to do some serious snooping…).

To execute this trick,

  1. Drag the following link into your bookmarks toolbar>> Reveal Passwords
  2. Then click it whenever you are on a webpage with a password typed in

This has been tested in:

  • Internet Explorer 6+
  • Firefox 3.6
  • Chrome
  • Opera 11
  • Safari

Typically, when you type in your password it looks like the box below:

After clicking the bookmark, you’ll now see the asterisks or dots revealed:

All the hard work is completely Andrew Worcester’s work. You can follow him on Twitter @amwmedia
