Untethered Jailbreak AppleTV 2 – 5.0.1 iOS 5.1.1 – 9B206f (XBMC works)

Seas0nPass has just released this morning a untethered jailbreak for all you 5.0.1 (iOS 5.1.1 – 9B206f) ATV2 users out there. Thanks Firecore! This is great news for everyone using the previously mentioned tethered jailbreak.

This method is compatible with the latest firmware that Apple released as of 5/10/12 – version 5.0.1 (iOS 5.1.1 – 9B206f).

AppleTV 3 Support?

Unfortunately, there is still no method for jailbreaking the ATV3 at this time. Once the ATV3 jailbreak method is discovered, ATV2’s will stop selling for over $160 on eBay. For now, we all just have to wait.
